Indonesia eVOA requirements, fees and entry rules

Key information about Indonesia Electronic Visa on Arrival eligibility, documents, validity, permitted stay and the B1 application.

What is Indonesia eVOA?

eVOA means Electronic Visa on Arrival. For ordinary tourism, family visits, transit and permitted meetings or events, the relevant product is the single-entry B1 Visa on Arrival.

Visa validity and length of stay

Visa validity: the eVOA must normally be used for entry within 90 days from its date of issue.

Permitted stay: the initial stay is a maximum of 30 days. One extension of up to 30 additional days may be available, for a maximum properly extended stay of 60 days. The 90-day usage period is not the permitted length of stay.

Official government fee

The published Indonesian government fee for a B1 Visa on Arrival is IDR 500,000. The currently published verification fee is IDR 0. These are government fee information and are distinct from VisaViza’s commercial assistance checkout.

Processing information

Official indicated processing is up to 1 × 24 hours. Approval within that period is not guaranteed. Apply before travelling in case additional verification, payment or technical issues occur.

Passport and documents

Use a national passport valid for at least six months when entering Indonesia. Prepare one clear passport biodata-page image, one recent personal photograph, a return or onward ticket in PDF format, and the applicant details requested in the form. A sponsor or guarantor is not required for B1 Visa on Arrival.

Check every passport detail

Processed eVOA information generally cannot be changed. Carefully verify the full name, passport number, nationality, passport dates and every other passport detail. An important error may require a completely new application.

Entry, work and overstay rules

Approval does not guarantee entry. The final admission decision is made by an Indonesian Immigration Officer at the port of entry.

B1 eVOA is not a work or study visa. Employment, study or activities outside the authorised B1 purpose require the appropriate Indonesian visa category.

Overstaying may result in daily fines and other immigration consequences. Verify the current penalty with Indonesian Immigration.

Refund information

Indonesian Immigration guidance states that processed eVOA fees are generally non-refundable. This government rule is separate from VisaViza’s own commercial terms and refund policy.
