Before you start
You’ll need:
- the national passport you will use to enter Indonesia;
- a clear image of its biodata page;
- a recent colour personal photograph;
- a return or onward ticket as a PDF;
- the first address where you will stay in Indonesia.
Each traveller needs a separate application, including children.

Passport biodata page
Photograph the physical passport you will use to travel. Show all four corners, personal details, photograph and complete machine-readable zone.
- Keep the image clear, in focus and correctly oriented.
- Avoid blur, glare, folds, obstructions and cropped edges.
- A landscape image is preferred when it shows the complete page.

Machine-readable zone (MRZ)
Include every character in the lines of letters, numbers and chevrons at the bottom of the biodata page.

Personal photo requirements
Use a recent colour JPEG or PNG of at least 400 × 600 pixels and no more than 2 MB.
- Keep your face clearly visible and the image in focus.
- Your head to chin should occupy approximately 50–60% of the image height.
- Use even lighting and do not apply filters.
